This is the third CD Derek did with The Michael Feldman Group. Derek has no role as a writer or producer in the band. As such, this website is not adequately structured to detail this project, but Derek will share some words about it below...

Somehow, I don't even really remember doing this CD. I'm sure I was there. I'm sure I had some opinions about how it sounded at the time. (As a casual listener, the only real complaint I have is that the background vocals are too loud in the mix.) But, yeah...as a whole, I don't even remember doing the CD. And, hand-to-God, I wasn't even drinking when we did it, ha ha!

The songs themselves, I really really like. This is probably Mike's best work as a Christian recording artist and I really wish it had gotten more attention. It's got Mike's most mature Christian material on it, lyrically. Musically, it's as good as anything else he's ever done. He's an excellent musician, and that always shows... There's just something about the lyrics, though. He really wrote some great words on this one. I particularly like the first and second tracks, for the record.

Listening to this one really makes me want to work with Mike again. We had been doing classic rock and blues covers together in recent years (up until February of 2009)...but hearing these songs makes me miss his original writing. Haven't played his songs in a while, and I miss that. I sometimes forget just how good a songwriter Mike is...
