Trapped inside this shell,
I've done my time in hell,
and I long for release.
Can you hear me now?
I'm screaming right out loud.
And you say you'll pray for me.

But prayer's not enough,
when all I want is love,
to touch the face of God.
Your words, pious, sincere
fall on a deaf ear.
Don't look for me, I'm gone.
